Making Our Life Less Boring

As you know that doing the same routine every day sometimes makes people feel bored. It is also proven by the researchers. They found that 63 percent of us suffer from boredom at least once over 10 days. Especially, if we just repeat certain behaviors without experiencing a new thing from that.

Yesterday, my friend called me and we were talking about how our days going. And then, I told her what I usually do in a day and she also told me hers. And then, she knew that I like to try new things and she said that it was a good way to learn. And in the end, I was just inspired by what we talked about. We knew that people tend to get used to things over time. So that's why, sometimes we feel excited and satisfied to do some activities at the beginning and start to lose the joy afterward. Even though we actually don't hate it and we still like it, we just lost our excitement at that thing. So we need to rediscover some sort of curiosity and creativity in our everyday life. My friend and I agreed that finding different ways to interact with familiar things makes our everyday experiences feel new again.

We can take on a small challenge every day or step out of a bit of our comfort zone. It doesn't have to be a big change, but just as simple as ̶maybe ̶taking a different route home, trying a new recipe or a new type of exercise, working somewhere fresh, or maybe just eating with chopsticks if we usually eat with hands and spoon. Even if we're just taking a small step, we will feel a sense of novelty, a new feeling in our daily life. It can be a useful way to give us some spice in our daily habits, it is just like a spice of happiness. Because in the end, we still have to do those activities and we can't go away from them. And I think we better perceive our daily activities as "productive" rather than boring. Because that word can give us some sort of feeling that what we do is more meaningful. So, whenever we get bored, we can just keep things interesting in a different and unique way.

It is okay to feel bored actually. Sometimes we don't have to get rid of it. But if it's bothering you, find a way to make it better. Take a rest, go for a walk, get new inspiration, and most important don't do anything stupid, pals!
